Intimacy is part of health
Spinal cord injury can affect intimacy, identity, relationships, confidence, and the ability to start a family. These issues are often deeply important but rarely addressed directly.
IntimaStim is developing minimally invasive spinal neuromodulation technology to help restore erection and ejaculation in men with paralysis.
Currently preparing early clinical validation work with established neuromodulation systems.

Sexual function is one of the most important quality-of-life concerns for men living with spinal cord injury, yet it remains one of the most under-addressed areas of care.
Current options often address only partial function and do not restore coordinated sexual physiology.
Sexual function is a top priority after spinal cord injury - often ranking above walking in patient surveys.
IntimaStim is focused on a problem that is clinically serious, deeply human, and historically overlooked.
Sexual health is connected to intimacy, confidence, identity, relationships, and family formation.
Spinal cord injury can affect intimacy, identity, relationships, confidence, and the ability to start a family. These issues are often deeply important but rarely addressed directly.
Much of spinal cord injury research has focused on walking, pain, bowel, and bladder function. Sexual function remains under-translated despite its importance to patients.
IntimaStim is developing a minimally invasive spinal neuromodulation approach intended to help restore erection and ejaculation in men with paralysis.
Our near-term goal is to generate early clinical proof-of-concept before developing a dedicated implant platform.
IntimaStim is preparing early feasibility work to evaluate safety, feasibility, and early physiological response in men with spinal cord injury.
Evaluate early physiological response using objective clinical measures and patient-centered outcomes.
Use established neuromodulation systems for initial validation before custom device development.
Generate clinical proof-of-concept before advancing toward a dedicated implant platform.
All future clinical work will be conducted under applicable ethical and regulatory approvals.
IntimaStim is moving toward a capital-efficient first clinical signal using existing neuromodulation infrastructure.
NIH Blueprint MedTech Seedling awardee ($50K).
NSF I-Corps customer discovery completed with stakeholders across the clinical and patient ecosystem.
Early feasibility planning is in development with neuromodulation clinicians.

Ladan is a neural engineer and postdoctoral researcher in the Jack Judy Lab at the University of Florida, focused on implantable medical devices and neural interface longevity. He founded IntimaStim to address one of the most overlooked quality-of-life priorities for men living with spinal cord injury.
He also hosts the Neural Implant Podcast, where he speaks with leaders across neurotechnology, neural engineering, and implantable medical devices.
IntimaStim is pursuing a staged, clinically responsible path from initial validation to a dedicated platform.
